Egypt Army Appoints Kamal Ganzouri As New PM

In Egypt, the ruling Supreme Council of Armed Forces has officially appointed Kamal al-Ganzouri, a former prime minister, as the head of a national salvation government. 

According to state media, the Head of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi issued a decree on 25^th Nov about the appointment of the new prime minister. Tantawi also granted Kamal al-Ganzouri all powers that enable him to deliver his duty properly.

Mr. Kamal al-Ganzouri headed the Egyptian government under the Mubarak regime from 1996 to 1999.
