Gehlot Reshuffles Cabinet Drops 5 Ministers Posted on : Nov 24,2011
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot carried out a reconstruction of his ministerial team, dropping five ministers from the state cabinet last night. Six new Ministers were included in the state cabinet, while one Minister of State Ashok Bairwa has been promoted to Cabinet rank. The Swearing- in ceremony held on 16th Nov. All the Ministers of the State had resigned on 15th Nov expressing faith in the Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot for the reconstitution of his cabinet. The new faces in the Ministry include Virendra Beniwal, Amin Khan, Dayaram Parmar, Manju Meghwal, Naseem Akhtar Insaf and Vinod Chaudhary. Those dropped include Education Minister Bhanwarlal Meghwal, MoS PWD Minister Pramod Jain and MoS Golma Devi, Ramlal Jat and Bharosi Lal Jatav. Raghu Sharma has been inducted as Chief Whip with cabinet minister status. Mr. Gehlot has also included 7 new Parliamentary Secretaries.
