Bihar Govt Signs MoU For Stabilize Population Rate

The Bihar government has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the UNICEF and the Population Council of India (PCI) for stabilizing population rate in the state. 

The MoU signed by the State Health Society, on behalf of the state government, aims at effective implementation of a comprehensive community strategy in the state. 

Bihar’s fertility rate is 2.7 against the nation average of 3.9.The MOU will facilitate the development ,design and effective implementation of the strategy to strengthen the strategic communication component of the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) in Bihar
