Seven Dead In Howrahn Dehradun Express Fire

At least seven people have been killed after fire broke out in two AC coaches of Howrah-Dehradun Express in Giridih district of Jharkhand. Divisional Railway Manager of Dhanbad said that the fire was spotted in the coaches between Parasnath and Nimiaghat stations in the wee hours of 22 Nov.

He said that a relief train and ambulance have been sent to the spot .

According to a Railway Ministry spokesperson, the fire broke out at 2. 30 am in B-1 AC coach and then spread to B-2 AC coach. He said that both coaches have been detached from the train. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained and an inquiry has been ordered by Commissioner Railway Safety .
