Compaign Against Bt Brinjal

The debate on BT brinjal is getting broader,public opinion with farmers and health experts emerging out in form of compaign & protest against Genetic Engineering approval committee.Organisations leading against ill effect of GM crops are Green Peace,GM Free Coalition of India.etc.while large community of scientist and patent holders are making a strong in favour of BT Brinjal.

Many farmers have registered allergic reactions during harvesting season of Bt cotton in Punjab. According to experts,even fam labourers traveling to Punjab from Rajasthan have complained of itches & rashes after working on Bt sowing farms..Several scientist & green group also raised the issue of bio-tech and environmental friendliness of this new agricultural produce,citing fear over health security. Ten state Govt have decided not to wait for the end of controversy over whether genitically modified Brinjal,should be approved or not..They have refused to adopt BT Brinjal.
