Saraswati Samman Presented To Kannada Author Bhyrappa

Eminent writer Professor S L Bhyrappa was on 16^th Nov honoured with the prestigious Saraswati Samman for the year 2010 for his Kannada novel 'Mandra' at a function in New Delhi. The Saraswati Samman was presented by Member of Parliament and Indian Council for Cultural Relations' President Dr Karan Singh.

Mandra is considered as one of the most acclaimed epic novels of Prof Bhyrappa. It has been translated into Hindi and Marathi and its English translation is ready for publication. The Saraswati Samman which was instituted by K K Birla Foundation carries a citation and cash prize of 7.5 lakh rupees.
